Ingredients-

1.5 Cups Butter

2 Cups Sugar

4 Eggs

1 TBSP Vanilla

5 Cups Flour

1 TSP Salt

2 TBSP Baking Powder

Instructions-

  1. Cream the butter and sugar in a stand mixer until light and fluffy.

  2. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.

  3. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  4. Chill in the fridge for at least an hour or chill in the freezer for 10-15 minutes (but not longer than that!)

  5. Roll out dough between a 1/4 and 1/2 inch.

  6. Use cookie cutters to cut dough into desired shapes.

  7. Bake at 400°F for 6-8 minutes

Icing-

Mix confectioners sugar with a splash of water until the desired consistency is reached. Then add whatever color food coloring you would like. Allow the cookies to cool completely before icing them. Decorate with sprinkles of your choice!

Tips-

  1. It is very important to cream the butter and sugar until it is very fluffy. This will take 5-7 minutes in the mixer.

  2. The thinner you roll the dough, the more crisp your cookie will be. If you like softer cookies, roll it thick!

  3. These cookies cook fast, I don’t like them too crispy so I take them out of the oven at promptly 6 minutes.
